At Sakura Studios we offer small group sessions in a holistic tranquil atmosphere. The experience of a 1-2-1 session without the price tag. Smaller groups allow for much more individual interaction. Also available for private 1-2-1’s or group booking
Yin Yoga roots itself from the ancient shamanic traditions where we take time to observe and listen to our bodies. Working with the traditional Chinese energetic Meridans each asana works by stimulating the flow of energy through the meridians to help heal physical and mental blockages. Its a slow and calming paced class where we hold positions or asanas for 2-8 minutes. We use equipment to help support and open your body, releasing much deeper into the connective tissues as your body relaxes and gravity takes place. Low impact and therapeutic stretching session, combined with breath and meditation.

Dynamic Yoga is a faster and more strengthening class. We begin with a meditation to set our intention for our practise and a few gentle stretches. Then the Dynamic starts to begin. Using Ashtanga Sun Salutations to bring heat into the body and raise the heart rate as you work with your breath and flow through positions. It is about working with your body and how you feel on certain days, the same as all yoga. It is however for all levels. I work my way up from beginner to advance. Sometimes if your new you may find you loose your way but after a few classes you will get used to the sequences and become more confident. If anyone does feel a little nervous I recommend just booking a one off one to one as I can teach you the basics to help you feel more confident.

Pregnancy Yoga
For those in the 2nd & 3rd Trimester. Coming to a secure and safe haven in an holistic atmosphere, this class works with our bodies maintaining and easing the body whilst going through the changes of pregnancy. For women that want to connect with their babies, work with breath and flow through the body. Very useful if you already have a yoga practice - can learn what to do and what not to do to protect your baby and body through these changes, giving you alternatives you can take away and use in your current classes. Also a great time to start yoga. Yoga techniques can really help with pregnancy and labour by helping relieve pain, working with breath and building up the pelvic floor muscles
